I dragged Brother to go down with me to the car park to help me kick start my bike .

It worked and off I left for work .

There's no parking space - as usual .

She passed over to Sharon .

Went over to Station 2 to slack .

Missed them all .

All the nonsense and nothing can be done !

Went back to nurse my Room 19 , LWS .

Towards the end of the shift , a 23 year old girl admitted .

My age .

And she don't look too good .

It felt too sudden , referral case from Polyclinic .

Rode home , had to kick start my bike again . It was drizzling .

Brother and I went to the night market , but most of the stalls were closed .

Had crispy noodles instead .

Yeah !

Tomorrow .

They changed my afternoon to morning .

Room 15 and Room 19 .

15 extubated . Passed over to Vicky .

19 inserted another left chest tube .

Was a bit angry .

I took over 2 patients , by that time , other staffs had already started sponging patients .

I went in and join Room 15 as there was only 1 staff inside .

Another staff came in and wanted to update chart - got scolded , " why was the set incomplete ? "

Hello , I just came in and join the staff . My patient was already naked by the time I went in .

Never mind , that staff asked me to prepare my medications . Done .

Then I was just planning to adjust something - not planning to touch the patient yet , and I got scolded .

" Put down the cot side . "

People tend to jump in to conclusion way too fast .

Was busy today . 2 patients - 1 with chest tube insertion .

Lucky Belle was with me and helped me .

And realized that the inhalation was given wrongly .

Only managed to complete my stuffs close to 4pm .

Goh YC was nice as well - some will asked if everything is okay - do you need help . Some even helped you .

Went kopitiam and had their breakfast set - $2.00 while waiting for Brother to pick me at 6pm .

Went home and rest .

Seriously - being thinking about it .

I want my life back .

Had been what app-ing Min Hui and Sok Ee ...

And Huiling as well ...

Was inside sponging 21 . I went out to get something , or the sponging finished - 0800 hours , my Room 20 left .

Nor helped me a lot , settled the death for me .

And 4 people helped me pack .

Heat stroke Japanese guy .

Extubated and transferred him to Ward 45 Single Room - think Room 07 Bed 01 .

Helped Chil to transferred her case as well .

Ended work , I went to asked about the course .

Shopped a little .

Waited for him at the McDonald's . Got McNuggets Meal - $5.10 .

He came and fetched me , went home .

Had meatballs and sushi .

Then he sent me home .

The bus ride was nice .

Saw passed over to me , he was the night in charge . He helped me serve most antibiotics as well .

Room 15 - sent her down for scan . 0830 hours appointment .

Got " scolded " .

Still alive , still alive .

Went home and rest , watched television show with mum .

It was his first day at JPM .

Another afternoon shift .

Mum sent me to the bus stop ... was unable to ride .

Room 14 . Spent half the shift inside , assisting doctor inserting central line and vascular catheter .

From 3pm to 7pm . Changing to flotrac for patient as well , taking bloods and ECG .

Thank god for all the colleagues who helped me - and the in charge . Simon .
Went break . Was tired .

But not all - some people just blame me for the things which I was not done by me at all , like the tape taping .

Brother fetched . Did not have any supper .

The thought of tomorrow morning shift made me feel like sleeping .

So dread to go to work . Brother said that he would fetch me after work .

Room 15 today . New admission from Ward 64 . It was the same patient I accepted on the 20th .

They wanted the change the central line , thus I was stuck inside for half the day .

Off the old central over the left side , sent tip for culture .

Everything was settled .

Very first time went for break with Roz and DH . Ate at kopitiam . Had vegetable rice - $2.56 after the original $3.20 discount .

Passed over and I went home .

I drop off half way in order to get brother's topical cake from the night market . I brought chicken chop for myself .

Rode to NUS Library to return and borrow books .

Rode back home .

Walked around the night marked while waiting for Brother to come down .

15:20 - 17:00 hours .

1 to 1 .

Passed .

Brother sent me to Bukit Batok MRT , brought Witchery and passed it to Brother .

Went to Little India , met him .

Had Korean steamboat .

Took bus home .

Called Brother , he was at the night market with Dad .

Went to look for them and we went home together .

Mum took half day leave and wanted Brother to send her to some fish market .

But he got lessons - 13:20 - 15:00 hours .

So Mum ordered take away , we had lunch . Then went out .

Brother failed , again . For 1 to 1 .

We went Bukit Batok McDonald's . Had some meal while waiting for Mus .

He came , with his Vespa !

So we went to Orchard .

Then Somerset ....

Met Sheril .

Went to collect my Groupon Shoe Rack .

Tried looking for the Old Power House ... walked and walked and walked ....

Ended up taking 502 home .

Waited for Brother at the bus stop , asked him to bring along my slippers .

In the end , he did not !

He just helped me take the shoe rack and put inside the car .

He called , asked if I'm still angry , still hurt .

Cried .

Everything thing he said , I rebuked back .

Finally , he just dozed off ....

2 patients today - Room 14 and Room 15 .

During the morning row call - both for extubation - sure !!!

So , M helped me serve the medications for Room 14 .

While I was busy helping others to sponge patients ....

Goh was on duty as well .

She helped me and together we served Room 15's medications - oral and IV .

Went for break together with her where she " interview " me .

She brought fried dumplings for us to share as well - and the thick skin me totally forgot to thank her !

My favourite fried dumplings !!!!

Went back to the ward - Doctor Tan GL said Room 15 not for extubation , yet . Might be difficult to reintubate .

Yeah !

Anyway , Physiotherapy saw my patients ....

Dialysis - SLED done for my Room 14 , Chest X ray done - extubation - done .

And so , I transferred my patient to Ward 42 Room 03 Bed 01 , together with the new student nurse , V .

Came back and the afternoon in charge Ali asked me - what about patent's blood gases ?!

The Respiratory therapies wanted to take and the patient was out already .

....

Turns out that when M told me to transfer patient at 1446 hours - it was for the blood gases . I asked him why such weird timing , but did not hear his respond .

They - Ali and Doctor Im Sing - said that the patient was okay .... so it was alright .

I transfer patient late - got rushed .

Transfer patient early - got scolded as well .

What am I suppose to do ?!

Waited for 4pm .... Tried calling him but he did not answer his call .

Finally , while I was inside the toilet wanting to bath , he answered his call .

He suggested to go Ikea .

He came to he normal usual bus stop to wait for me , but I was at the opposite bus stop .

He came , we took the bus to Ikea . Walked a little when he suggested to go to the cafe instead .

We went , talked . He talked . I cried .

Then we walked around in Ikea , bump into Shu Hua .

Was deciding where to have dinner - Ikea , Commonwealth Shopping Centre or Pizza Hut .

He got the Pizza Hut voucher , so we went to Bukit Timah Plaza and had dinner .

Shopped at the NTUC while waiting for his parents .

They were asking me some questions ....

They drove home , passed me the insurance letter .

He sent me home .

There was a kitty on top of a car , he got out and tried attracting the kitty's attention , but failed .

Morning shift - 1 empty Room .
Room 18 - not for reintubation .

Family conference for Bipap or tracheotomy .

Helped a little .

Saw a chest tube insertion .

Left the ward 10 minutes early to bath .

Met Sharon , Er and Eugene at the car park .

Went for our foot massage .

They brought the package .

Eugene dropped Er and I at Outram MRT , chatted with her till Dover where I took 185 .

They ordered Domino pizza .

Was totally mad at him .

Whole day MIA , saw his Facebook and was even more angry .

He can view his very first Facebook massage to me on 5th April 2010 ....

He called a lot of times at night , then he messaged me .

We fought , shouted .

What about my insurances ?!

We cried .

What is wrong with him ?!

Rode to work ...

Room 14 and Room 15 .

Straight away , Room 15 bronchoscopy done .

And that Doctor in charge - W. Tin was .....

Room 14 terminal extubation , 1 way ticket .

Saw was the overall in charge .

CD toxin case - actually transferring to Ward 68 , but ended up in Ward 58 Room 09 Bed 01 .

The staff there was ....

Anyway , settled the transfer and I went back to my Room 15 .

Was having headache .

Had third break , as I transfer patient , and had a little rest - felt much better .

Went back to nurse my Room 15 , and give all the night medications , start feeding , do the second and last cycle of ECG , and last but not least , but on the pressure cuff .

Luckily , the nursing student and Goh YC came in and helped me .

Everything settled .

Then while they were passing over report - Goh YC , Kan SH ... etc , etc talked about my bike ....

Then asked about my HDB , my boyfriend .

6 years together and they wanted to see the picture .

Room 18 called and Kan went to answer the call bell while I opened out my Facebook ....

Goh " flipped " through the photos and showed Kan over the sliding glass door the " best photo . "

Then Kan wrote " handsome " on a piece of tissue paper and showed me ....

Maybe ...

The very first time I really smile ....

Passed over - did a very bad job .

Stupid doctor anyhow order - no NG aspirate for patient .

Left lower limb cellulitis and yet they order cuff pump .

Got " scolded " again .

" This is not general ward - do not anyhow follow blindly what the doctor order . "

Anyway , Mr LWS' sister brought sandwiches , tea and coffee for all of us .

Took away .

Rode home .

There was this guy who rode all the way together with me from AYE exit to PIE to home .

We parked out bike and had a little chat - exchanged numbers .

Brother was waiting for me at the smaller hawker centre with my chicken cutlet .

Yummy , there were dumplings as well .

Ate , home .

Had a 47 plus minutes chat with him - fought again .

Who is he to judge me and criticize me about me going overseas .

What about him ?

White lie expert ?!

Going overseas without informing or tell me ?!

Go and look for the B***H ?

Anyway , I totally give up .

Got to kick start my bike again , someone else helped me .

Rode to work and it was pouring on the way !

I was totally drenched !

Was early , so I went to slack inside the tea room .

Saw the morning in charge and the Sisters were there was well .

They were talking ... never mind  . It was alright . I was busy messaging and trying to e - mail my roster ...

When suddenly , they said that the let me take the transfer .

Anything ....

But I was being chased out of the tea room to " look at my patient " - whom had not touched down yet .

It was still early and I still want to use my hand phone .

Patient came - 1 whole package .

There was somebody inside there while the doctor was inserting the central venous catheter .

So I came out and did the usual - stamp and chop .

Was being " said " again .

" You will never be self - sufficient ..... "

I was not even writing my report !

Was just writing the time of admission , the doctor's name ...

And there was some stupid drugs to give ... weird weird drug .

Thankfully , everything was settled .

Passed over .

Rode home .

Brother said that Mum made Milo , thus I never make the milk tea which I brought along .

Went to the night market again .

Wanted the chicken chop ... but it was closed !

So Brother just ordered the chicken wings . And we decided to have add on inside the hawker center . We were just walking in when I was the Hokkien Mee which I had been longing for .


Had Hokkien Mee with chicken wings .

Brother was still hungry , he wanted to order from the night market again , but it was closed .

Had carrot cake instead .

6 missed calls from Him , called him at once when I reached home . He was sleeping already .

Talked ... and I fell asleep on the floor , until Brother woke me up .

And I was wondering , since when was I hugging my bear ???

They changed my shift .

Supposed to be morning shift when I checked the assignment book yesterday , but as confirmed with my colleague - she had changed shift with me already . So I'm afternoon shift .

Brother offered to send me to work as he needs to reach School by 1.30pm .

Was supposed to be junior today ... was quite happy .

Until I was inside patients room when he came in and told me to take in charge of Room 18 .

The staff was experiencing cramps and she got to go home .

Took over ....

Still okay .

On hydration , sedation and Noradrenaline .

Went for break , came back and saw my colleagues inside .

Turned out that the patient went tachy , than did ECG , suctioning .

That on call - Dr Tai , wanted this , wanted that .

Morphine , lasix , dopamine ....

Then discontinue again .

However , patient was more settled after that ....

Managed to help my other colleagues a bit .

Brother was early , for once .

Yeah , that person not around , of course Brother is early .

Went home , downstairs and had oyster egg plus mountain dew .

Was too lazy to ride to work today , and Brother said that it rained this morning .
Took train , was still feeling unwell with running nose .

Work .

Was actually assigned  to Room 14 and 15 .

However , changed to Room 14 and 21 instead .

Transferred 21 to Ward 68HD - Room 01 Bed 03 to Agnes .

Sent him at around 5pm .

While preparing him , another staff came in and asked me about Room 14's scan . It was supposed to me tomorrow 12pm , however , changed to today 6pm instead .

I sent out my Room 21 , had a short break before the staff came in and told me that the porter was there to sent my Room 14 for scan .

They helped me prepared patient already ... Thanks .

Sent .... patient suddenly vomited after transferring to the bed .

Suctioned , lucky RT WX was around .

Sent her back , served her medications , and finally settled .

Was informed that there's another case coming in .... but never come .

Brother waited for me at Block 4 .

Went to Jurong Green Community Centre McDonald's - McChicken Extra Value Meal for the Hello Kitty toy .

Got to go back to work after my 6 days off .

Got to kick start my bike again ...

Failed .

Other people helped me .

Than finally the owner of the broken mirror came .

He was so anxious that his oxygen level dropped to 60 % , RT Cons and Dr Vic bagged the patient while I was totally lost ....

Room 17 . Transferred the mental patient to Ward 64 Room 13 Bed 06 .

Still managed to survive .

Ended work , rode home .

Mum did not prepare any dinner for me today , she did not know my shift . Ate some cake during break time .

But still got to repeat .

Went Jurong Point's Lai Lai for lunch .

Then we went Library .

Read finish my medical book , but did not manage to read finish my novel .

Insisted on buying bubble tea and Shilin ( $3.80 ) .

Brother got no choice .

He ate as well .

Went home for dinner - there was some duck pizza ?

Biscuits ?

And milk tea plus pudding .

Watched Underworld with Brother .

Called him .

Lost my temper with him ...

Brother said he grant me the permission - but his permission got no use at all !!!

So , we left early and waited ... but it was fast .

Brother drove me to IMM's Daiso where I brought something for my new boots .

Then we parked at the HDB and walked to JCube .

Brought some bubble tea as well .

Brother showed me a shoe shop - but I don't like the shoes there , and I was looking for slippers ...

There was nothing , so we went home for dinner .

Mum was happy .

Anyway - the whole day was PAINFUL .

He was now where to be found .

He called , I tied to call him back and he did not answer .

Called him again sometime later and he claimed that he didn't know that he dialed my number .

Lost my temper on him . Told him at I was not feeling well and he was like ...

Did you ate anything wrong in Malaysia ?

ARGH !

These few days , Brother got scolded ...

Thus , this morning , that dumb bear went running and brought breakfast for the family .

Went market with Mum after breakfast .

Brought 1 knee high boots - $10 .

1 yellow shirt for Brother and 1 shorts - $10 each .

Went further down to another market at block 500 plus ...

Shoe - $15 , and another white colour one - $10 ( Mum brought for me ) .

Walked one round inside the market and went home to wait for Brother to end his tuition .

Had lunch with the family before I drove them to pick Him up .

Drove past the U turn point for bikers' road test route .

Told them about it and all Mum could comment was - you're very brave .

Saw him as well , but I continued driving .

Finally parked the car and we took a bus to the checkpoint .

Went all the way to Jusco .

We missed our stop , thus we took another bus back to the original bus stop and walked all the way to Jusco .

Went all the way up to the top floor and wanted to start shopping when she insisted on having some tea first .

Had some bread and milk tea .

Shopped .

They decided to let us shop alone and meet again at some place .

We shopped ... Nothing much .

Saw my 2 aunties .

Then saw Brother they all - told them about it and they bumped into my aunties as well .

Carried on shopping ... Then we saw them again .

Decided on some nice place to have dinner .

He chose my favourite mini steamboat place which I liked it a lot .

Ate , and we headed home .

They got the car while I bring my parents to wait for the car .

Brother drove home first so that Mum could get the fruit juice she made for him .

Then we sent him back ....

Had breakfast ... wasn't that nice .

Went out early . Shopped .

Brought a hairband .

Had Mee Siam and Wanton Mee .

Then went KFC as well ...

Went all the way to Jurong East and had crispy noodles .

Home .

The day is here ...

Met at 6am plus at Jurong East interchange .

Travel all the way , massaged .

Ate chicken rice .

Then relaxed a while ... took taxi for shopping .

Nothing much . It was quite small . Went to the supermarket . Brought a few things only .

Ate some noodles , seafood , satay and chicken .

It rained heavily ... Took cab home .

Woke Brother up at 9am ...

He prepared and left home .

I stayed at home and serve the net .

Left home only at 3pm and went to the Medical Library to collect my Library card .

Managed to find one book and borrowed it .

Went to SMU , met him .

We hung around at the study room for a while before heading to Bugis for my favourite steamboat . House of Steamboat . Total of $44.00 .

Went home together after dinner .

Took train to work .

2 cases - was so busy .

With one lumbar puncture ...

Argh .

Lucky there's other colleagues who assisted me . We had some jokes and some fun as well ...

And Sister came looking for me for an RMS case .

I managed to end work on time . There was no problem passing over as well ... both of them never ask any questions ....

Left the ward exactly at 10pm to bath ...

And say hello to my 4 to 6 off days !!!!

Brother said that he can only reach at 11pm . So I suggested to travel down to meet him instead .

Waited and waited and waited ....

40 long minutes !

If he can reach SGH by 11pm , why can't he reach NUH much earlier ?!

He got scolded by Mum again ....

I was mad at him as well , but of course , I know that it's not his fault .

So we went to Jurong Point . I thought of going shopping first and eat later . In case we got hungry after shopping .

However , we ate at PrataWala first .

1 grass jelly , 2 drinks - pink dolphin and tea , 1 box of Takoyaki and 3 pratas .

Shopped - got some cable extension - with USB plug , Mum's olive oil , and drink . $60.55 . But I used my vouchers of $55.00 . So , only $5.55 .

Mountan dew and green tea .

I drove home and we only reached home at 2am ...

He was asleep by then ...

Good night .

Brother left home early in the morning .

Rode to work , went to retail pharmacy to collect Mum's things and saw SIA .

Only managed to talk with her for a while only ...

Reached ward , did not see my name on the whiteboard , asked the morning In charge whom I think he missed out my name , thus he assigned me as TPR .

1 admission from the ward ... nothing much .

Rode all the way home alone - did not stop till I exit from PIE - felt so nice , riding at 80km/hr .

Brother was waiting for me in his car , nearby my usual parking lot .

Went to our downstairs hawker centre .

Wanted pork chop - but they don't have . So we ordered chicken chop instead .

Added on wu xiang .

Just hope that tomorrow will be the same .....

Ate inside the car and Brother dropped me off at Clementi .

Went to Suntec  , redeem my groupon laptop .

Shopped - dropped by E2 and spent $20.00 .

Went Newstead Technologies and got a mouse - $ 19.90 .

Walked all the way to SMU and got 2 bottles of drinks from Cheers - $2.20 .

Waited for him at SMU's Koufu , brought chicken chop - $5.00 . He recommended .

He got vegetable rice and we shared inside the room .

We watched Puss in Boots .

He was in a rush and was already at the door , but he came back and gave me a goodbye kiss and insisted me to call - no message him as he would be busy , when I reached home .

Took 502 home and slept on the way .

Alighted one bus stop eariler and got some bubble tea - $4.90 .

Shopped at Ck Department Store and spent $32.80 ....

Brother cooked instant noodles with hotdog and meatballs for me at night .

Together with the bubble tea .

Morning shift with only one very stable patient . Managed to help others ... A bit . Always can't seems to help others .... Sponge patient , took blood .

Did some special assignment counting of mass casualty box .

He waited for me at the harbourfront bus stop where we got caught by Ruby , Jap and Sabby , who were ' just passing by . '

Took bus ... Walked .

Ate at Mongkok Dim Sum  ... Yummy .

Beef hor fun , seafood crispy noodles with cereal chicken .

Took my NTUC voucher and rode to Jurong Point .

Was unable to pus out my bike , seek help from some group of bikers at the void deck .

Brother was very very very late .

Called Mum and complain . Serve them right !!

Brought some drinks , sausages ..... $48.30 . But I used my vouchers of $40.00 . Than I rode home while Brother drove home .

Zzzz . Turned out that he was waiting for me .

Somebody helped me kick start my bike and I rode to work . There was a massive jam and I just rode on the white line ...

Dropped my retail pharmacy to help Mum buy her stuffs , again .

2 patients - they were very okay , very well .

Intensive care , high dependency status . But because of some stupid stupid things - it made me felt as if I've done a very bad job .

The morning staffs took hours to pass over to me - maybe thinking that I would miss out some staffs .

Then we can't find the old notes and tried searching for it , and she just went home .

Called previous ward where they were able to mention the name of our staff who signed and received the old notes form ......

Awaiting for patients appointment and thought they agreed to just sent the patient for procedure and transfer him .

First call - 4pm to 5pm .

Second call - after 6pm or 7pm as they were doing urgent case plus patient was an isolation case .

SO ?! MY FAULT THAT THEY DELAY THE SCAN ?!

" This is not a general ward . "

" Were you very busy with your two patient ? "

Plus there were other empty beds - do you need urgent bed ?!

It was all ready and prepared !

Transfer checklist , medications .

Talk about medications - that stupid doctor order 3 times STAT doses of medications - forcing me to go in and out for 3 times . And it was not just feeding the patient the medication - he will ask questions about the tablet !

Why don't you say the doctor as well .

Plus that doctor - anyhow anyhow order and emend the medications !

Saw exprex twice per week - got his previous NKF number and found out the last dose - and when I pass over the the another staff - no more exprex order !

A waste of my time .

Transferred - and other stuffs popped out .

No diet , still can't find the old notes .

They called the previous staff and finally found the old notes ... shouldn't the call earlier - THIS IS NO LONGER A GENERAL WARD !

And that stupid kitchen !

Searched B2 and A station - can't find .

Fist call - we provided the meal to the ward already .

Second call - we will send the meal to the ward !

My fault again that the kitchen never provide the meal ?! So should I cook for the patient myself ?!

Argh !

Everything settled once I transferred the patient ...

Than my current patient - doctor ordered some ward stock medications which I can't find in all 3 or 4 stations .

Anyway , she managed to help me obtain the medication - though I don't understand why we need to put up the counting sheet .

Had break with Beth , chatted a little which made me felt better .

Topped up the Plumocare when I returned back from break - she took a picture of the compact pump running at 295mls/hour .... I was just trying to clear the full chamber .

Hm , rode to NUS . Tired calling Brother and my phone went dead .

Argh .

Brother suddenly popped out and he waited for me for quite some time .

Rode to Clementi hawker centre and had mutton chop .

I parked my bike right in front of his car . Ha ha - no , he was the one who helped me park .

Went home ....

His phone was off .

And he finally called when I dozed off , claiming that he went drinking with his friends and complaining of headache .

Zzz ...

Can never wake up for morning shift - so wanted to ride .... but too tired .

Tomorrow ... tomorrow !

3 cycles of potassium phosphate replacement became 1 . Lucky the staff who took over from me was .... okay , I hope .

There was clinical teaching round by Saw and I was caught red handed falling asleep !

Rushed down to IEC after work . Saw Mee San inside the train station , but did not call out to her .

Met him at Plaza Singapura and we had PastaMania .

We talked and he was too tired . He only slept at 6am and woke up at 10am again .

Took bus home and both of us fell asleep ... till he woke me up informing me that I missed my stop .
