So , I decided to rode to work for my morning shift . Room 15 and Room 18 .

I took over Room 18 from Jo . Luckily Malek told me to keep him NBM .

Sent him down for CT scan together with Zu , Doctor Mandy and 2 students , plus Ivan .

The procedure was over ... transferred him back to bed and the chest tube got disconnected !!!!

Luckily Zu was around .... she was afternoon shift and I was supposed to pass over both patient to her ....

So , yup ... she also never say anything .

So I rode home , a very dangerous ride . I turned into my car park already , together with another rider . When this stupid idiot driver in front decided to do a U - Turn ! I jumped off my bike ! Then the rider told that brainless driver to drive in front and I rode away .

Stupid idiot brainless driver ! 

Internet , bathed .. and slept .

Woke up and I finally received his mail ! So cute .

Morning shift . Took over Room 16 from Lily .

Everything was alright .... going well ....

Until I came back from break and Malek told me that my patient collapsed .... The room was in a mess . So , I tried tidy up and everything .......

Passed over to Roz ... luckily everything was settled . Started on NorA and Dopa .

There were the attachment students as well . They helped me a lot .

I left work early and went to bath . Headed down to NUS . Managed to sleep a little ... ipad ran out of battery .

Waited for the ticket .... waited for Mum , who reached only at 7.30pm .

Ate , then went for the " show " .... it wasn't very nice . Talked about the China and locals .

Brother came early . I drove home . Mum went up first . Told Brother that I'm broke and he agreed to treat me .

We had some simple Wu Xiang ....

I waited for him till around 2am plus . I was so very tired .

Walked up the walkway with Bay . Evening ....

Took over from Alli . It's 25th and I actually agreed to go break with Belle . Managed to have the same break , but she was too busy , thus I ended up going for break with Roz , Jaya and Michelle .

Passed over to Lily . It seems like it's the first time Lily and Sugarpie talked to me about my resignation .

Brother fetched . We went home . Top up petrol ... Rode in my dress uniform . I was far too lazy to wear my helmet . Got " reminded " by two other road users ....

The pay is in and I'm broke .

Spent the whole day at home , trying to complete the video ... at a very slow pace .

Went downstairs with Mum . To NTUC , Shop N Save ....

I tried to send it to him via private message via Face book , tried to email him .. .and finally , managed to Drop box him .

He Skyped me while viewing . It was not done yet .... so we chatted .I waited , and waited .... till I messaged him again on Face Book ....

He just asked me to go and sleep .

Dragged myself to work . Wearing the stupid uniform .

Took over from Belle Room 14 . Just 1 bolus Omeprazole and 1 antibiotics . Belle was passing over Room 15 to Rachel first . I waited for her ... then other colleagues went inside my Room and helped me sponged my patient .

Went in to Room 15 with Roz and Poh Geok . Had fun ...

Roz went out first .. She was gowning up to go inside Room 20 Bed 01 , 101kg .... Ma was gowning as well .

But she went inside her own 25kg Room when it was almost completed by Jas and Sarah . So , I went into her Room and spoke to Jas .... , " Erm , you all done already right ? I am going inside Room 20 . "

Sponged Room 20 with Roz and Pok Geok . Jas came in as well .

So , yup .... Went for first break with Pok Geok and Ma .

Had a little sleep , had a little chat with Pok Geok ...

So , Michelle " ordered " me to go down with Goh Y.C and Pok Geok to buy stuffs .

Actually was waiting for Jas to transfer Room 20 to Ward 68 ...

Too bad .

Tried borrowing charger from Michelle and Vicky .

So , bathed ...

We headed down to City Hall . The pub Roz wanted to bring us was only opened to F1 pass holders ...

So , we ate at some other place ... Ordered movie tickets online via my ipad .

Went to have some donuts while I added all of them as friends on Face book .

Headed down to Cathy and caught the movie , To Rome with Love . A very funny movie .

I took 502 home with Rachel while Roz took cab and Ma and Olive took another bus .

Had a little talk with Rachel ...

Prepared to transfer patient to Ward 68 Room 01 Bed 01 . However , the Reg rejected . To keep patient for one more day . 

Roz was on duty ... we were just talking ... then somehow , she carried me .. !!!

Had break with Poh Geok and Ma .

First break , all got food .

Brother fetched me home . Was waiting for him when Yap came ... talked a little ...

Went home straight .

Mum made some cornflakes for us .

So , I was waiting and waiting for him .... but yet , he updated his Face book status instead of contacting me .

Then he showed me via Skype the heart shaped gold he dug out for me .

In charge of Room 17 and Room 18 . Took over from Tse Lert .

Room 18 is the same uncle . Nothing much for him .

Room 17 ... slightly towards the end of the shift ... I was very angry with her because her ventilator kept on coming off . So , her relative was outside .... I asked her to shift nearer ... more towards the center of the bed .

I came out and the uncle was telling me that I can't ask her to move by herself , she can't .... that she also wishes that she's able to move .

It then drawn onto me and I suddenly thought of my Ward 68 Room 10 Bed 01 ...

And it was her ! Restless leg syndrome .

Went for break with Joanna and Michelle . Had Korean food . Joanna was " stuck " inside the toilet .

Joanna was busy with her Room 20 CRRT and I tried to help her as much as I can .

Passed over to Jason and Huiying . Both of them were like ... okay okay ...

I don't need to pass over anything much . Brother fetched me and we had crispy noodles at hawker center .

Skyped with him .... and ordered a number of clothes from Lative .

Finally , time's up . Did tried to call the person to set an earlier timing . Another person got down my details ... then he called back , but could not make it earlier , thus , stick to 1.30pm .

Just had a short talk and I went down to the Medical Library .

Used my laptop .... did nothing useful ....

Finally , 5.30pm , I left . Went to UCC . Started to queue up for the tickets at 5.40pm ....


They gave me the tickets at 7pm . Waited . Mum came . Watched the 8pm show .

Went home ....

Brother made instant noodles with chicken nuggets as supper .

Received a call from another agent , he wanted me to go down today , so last minute !

Mummy did not prepare any food for me today . I was supposed to be on training leave . Rode to work .

I called the HR during over lap time . I am entitled to 16 days of leave . I went to ask Sister about y 100% work attendance and my leave , but she said that I got no more left .... I told her that I just called the HR and she said she would get back to me .

I checked my things much later ... 16 days , took 20 days , with 4 days of last year's leave .

Took over Room 15 from Bay . Started oral gastric feeding . Discarded the Morphine , on Proporfol , 120mg/hour .

Went break with Tse Lert . Belle was supposed to go with us as well , but she was still busy . Thus , Tse Lert and I went to Houseman and I had Ee Mian . Chatted ....

Went back and the 3 of us talked again .

I got " scolded " by Zu about my arterial bag , again . She remembered that time Lu Han scolded me .... Well , they reset the arterial line yesterday and did not change the transducer ... and it was after second turning , after physio see the patient when I realized .....

Passed over to Alli . She was nice , nothing much .

Rode home ... today slightly later . 10.40pm .

We had mini wok noodles .... Brought home the can of Green Tea which I actually planed to have it during my break , but I brought a can of drink instead . We drank Mountain Dew .

I thought Brother was asleep .... but he woke up and we went to top up petrol . I rode to work , smooth ride .

Work was peaceful as well . Took over Room 18 from Joanna . Only hydration , fluid bolus / challenge . Doctor Adrian was saying to order half strength normal saline as patient's sodium is high , and I was trying to point out that patient was given 5% Dextrose with 0.9% Normal Saline this morning .

Physio came and we sat patient on the chair . His wife came in ... Happy .... patient is getting better .

However , patient's blood pressure got low at around 8pm , going to 9pm ...

The night MO on call as well .... she wanted to order Normal Saline when I reminded her that patient's sodium was high and half strength salines were given . In the end , Gela was ordered instead .

E.Bay and Jane told me to run it fast , faster ... I did .

Patient's blood pressure did come up .

I felt a bit guilty .... in the mist of all ... I was a bit ... tired / rude to patient's family members . They were concern about the blood pressure as well .... Thus , when I was leaving the ward , I saw them , and " updated " them that patient's blood pressure came up after the fluids .... they thanked me ....

Passed over to Yan Ching .

Oh ! I was in charge of Room 20 , first case as well ... But yeah , no calls .

So , I flew home . Reached at 10.35pm .

Brother was still on his way home from NUS . He got interview tomorrow and he went to print his documents ....

The 10pm , third set of cardiac enzymes and ECG were not done . So I went in to do ... while Huiying came and " scolded " me .... my arterial line bag is empty already . So I just took the ECG and left home .

Brother came and fetched me . We went to Clementi and had my favorite mutton chop . Had Green Tea I brought from home .

So , Took over Room 18 from Simon . Room 21 from Huiying .

Everything was peaceful .... until I came back from break .

My room 21 was empty .... I asked Jane . She told me to send patient after her SLED , with 100mls , 20% human albumin across dialysis .

I was told that she had been transferred to Medical ICA . Then heard RT Matthew asking us to prepare for intubation . I thought it was for Room 14 .... until he told me that it's for my Room 18 . I dished out all the medications , when Vicky and Sharon helped me . They asked me to go over and pass report for Room 21 .

So , I went . Passed till the case notes when they got a bed at Renal ICA side .

MICA staffs helped me to push patient down , while I went down and passed the report AGAIN .....

So , passed .... the dialysis nurse came and started priming the lines for dialysis . Renal ICA staffs then asked me why the request for blood and blood products' sticky labels were not signed . I was shocked ! Others ICA staffs said don't need sign ... some other staffs said need . So she called up blood bank , and NOPE .

I wrote my report and settled the staffs and went back up . My Room 18 had been reintubated ..... Patient's son was curious and asked about it . I saw Doctor SuAnn around at the counter , so I directed patient's son to her .

Doctor SuAnn just asked him to wait ... and then asked me why I directed him to her , why she don't know the patient ....

Patient's wife later came and spoke to me . Asked me why the doctor was so angry , her son was just asking what happened .... I got to cover up for the doctor's ass and explained that the doctor didn't know what happened to the patient , and she got other patient's to look after as well - the whole ICU .... Patient's wife was like .... Yar , I know , and understand , but also don't need to be so angry ....

What to do ?

Got to be nice to Patient's wife , and cover up , speak up for doctor ....

I passed over Room 18 to Olive . Luckily .... she helped me ... there were some small small stuffs not done yet ....

I managed to finish work on time , left early to bath ...

And only at this time , I dialed Anna's number . She did not answer .

I bathed ... and Anna called back .

Waited for her outside Block 4 , Level 1 .

She came . We took bus from the bus stop .... the old usual meeting place for me and Him .

Went to Chinatown and brought Koi . I did not order any .

Took train ... where I fell asleep till Anna woke me up .

We alighted and tried walking to Sharon's house ....

Walked the whole Punggol area under the rain . Luckily I got umbrella .

Finally reached .

Steamboat with Anna , Er , Sharon and Eugene .

Ray came later ...

I left with Er . Eugene sent us home .

So , overall . I was in the kitchen with Sharon when Ray came in and told her the plan . Some treasure hunt , girls go massage .... and he got the thing ready already .

And while on the car ride home , Er told Eugene that Ray had settled with the hotel side ... the sunflowers ....

And all in all ...

None of them knew about my letter - I was still mentally preparing myself , worried that Jason would tell his Sister . But somehow ... Nope .

And only Sharon knew that he's miles away from me right now ... till next year .

We had family conference .

Just take it that the pass few months / years of car loan is for her . And starting from next month , Brother would give me the amount , and I would top up the usual house allowance I gave her , and give her the total sum .....

Waited for Brother , it was almost 10.15pm already . I messaged him , I end work at 10pm , and he was at Queensway ....

I did not bike either since we haven top up petrol ....

So , I went to Mum's workplace . She was busy teaching the kids , thus unable to come out and meet me . I called her and explained to her .

Ate .... used laptop for a while and felt tired ....

It's finally off day !

I woke up and took bus straight to NUS . Wanted the bench outside Starbucks , it was occupied .

So I went up to the library instead . It was raining in the morning and I wore my knees length boots . I copied down all the pages and started arranging my photos .

Hundreds of them since 2010 ....

I carried them all the way to the library ....

I finally finished putting them in different folders and I left home . I just had my breakfast - Mum made bread with hot dog , and I brought along a packet of milk , at around , 6 plus , 7pm .....

It was almost 8pm plus .

I went to collect my bike . Luckily I did not borrow any books .

I called Mum while I was walking down the slope . Was very angry . I complained about Brother owing me money again . About the car . Even if brother returned me my money , doesn't it meant that she still pays for the down payment ? Even if it is for my dowry next time , why would I want a THIRD hand car , contaminated by the BITCH ?

She said that I could sell it off ....

Worst still , she spoke up for Brother again , what , the pay only $2500 , not good enough for Brother .

I called the dialysis nurse for my Room 21 . Belle passed over to me that the dialysis nurse was priming when she called . But the dialysis have not started . I called again . They told me that they were priming again as the machine was off . So yeah ...

Just slacked around , helped around .

1 and a half hour of break only .

I went for second break for my whole 3 nights . Went with Rucan and Roz . We went down 7-11 . I was think of cup noodles .... brought sandwich instead . Ate , slept .

Went back for turning , changing ....

Shift IO ... yeah .

Passed over Room 21 to Ma and Alli .

Room 18 to Simon . He was nice , he actually checked and go through the stuffs already .

So , spoke to Sister Mani , Tay and Linda .... they were joking when I told them about home clothes . Linda was sharing that her Sister worked in the Hotel line , every morning thinking of what to wear . Got different types of clothes and all ...

Mani shared with me other people's experiences . If I want to come back , they will welcome me .... Just give her a call and she will arrange with HR ....

But I never thought of coming back again ......

Sister Tay was saying that she told me all the same things as well ...

They asked me if I had signed ..... I just .... Erm ... and they said , no need to ask anymore .

Woke up at 4pm . Face booked . Waited for Brother . But he only came home close to 8pm after fetching Mum . Mum brought Wanton Noodles for me . She planned for Brother to send me to work early , so that I am able to have my dinner .

But I took my dinner and took train to work . The smell for Wanton was very tempting .

Received Room 19 from Ma . The arterial fractured . Doctor Liza reinserted . I changed both transducer .

Patient did not sleep for the whole night . The ventilation setting does not telly . Ma does not know who changed it . Never mind .

The ventilation machine kept on showing osculation , unable to ventilate .... Tried suction and all , but of no use .

Patient only on hydration .

Room 16 from Michelle . Awaiting for time , blood pressure 30mmhg for systolic , diastolic and mean .

On lots of medications .

Noradrenaline 0.8mcg/kg/min . Running at about 15.6mls per hour . I topped up twice during my shift , about 2am and 7am .

Midazolam 4mg per hour . NorAin just helped me top up after taking over .

Morphine 5mg per hour . I topped up twice at 2am and 6am .

On hydration as well .

Passed over both cases back to Ma .

Vivienne came and looked at my Room 19's ventilation machine . Apparently there were water inside the tubing , and it was very dangerous for my patient . I bagged the patient while she helped me to drain out the water . The waveform became nicer . The doctor on call did came and asked me about the machine , if the patent's lung has a lot of air or something .... I asked Vivienne why the water for injection bag will have air . Ma came and checked patient this morning and she asked me for help to change the bag . I knew that the machine will alarm if the bag is empty , but the air went inside the whole bag .

Vivienne said that maybe the machine was over heated .

I reported to work at night , and NorAin came and talked to me , she wanted me to " go inside her office . "

I thought I did something wrong yesterday .... Oh no !

Turned out that it was about my letter .

I was inside Room 19 , charting or something , when Sharon came in and asked me about it .

Morning shift Jane came and talked to me once she authorized herself . She asked me why , is it because of my car and bike .....

Morning roll call finished and Jieling came and " scolded " me , said that I was naughty and never inform her .

I was passing half way of Room 19 when I went back to the station to search for the case notes when Jieling held my hand and asked me about advance diploma ..... She explained to me that I was too new that time and not enough experience , not yet 6 months ...............

Went home . Mum made prata for me , as ordered by me when I called her and woke her up at 7am . Slept .

I printed the letter , rode further down , looking for overnight parking ..... Some other rider told me that it's aright to park over at the Density facility .

Parked , then headed down to the SMN office . It was almost 4.10pm ? Bumped into the morning staffs . Threw in , did the exit interview . They were trying to convince me . But , nope . It was 5pm ....

So , I contacted Brother , told him that I'm on my way back to NUS already .  Waited and waited for him at the Kent Ridge MRT .

6pm plus ....

We drove to Clementi and had dinner . Lamp chop . Brother went to get Gong Cha . Yummy .

He sent me home , it was 7.30pm already .

Changed , and headed down again .

Gosh !

I Face booked messaged him . With him around , I don't feel lost , don't feel confuse .

Room 17 .... still okay .... Serve the medications and all ...........

Room 20 , just came in at 8.30pm . Argh ....

Intubation , so messy . Central line insertion , arterial line ....

Finally settled . All thanks to my seniors ....

But there were things not done . My routine blood only did at 2am .....

So , slept .

Came back for 4am turning .

Did finish Room 14 .... went inside Room 16 ...

Spo2 60 plus % only .

Zhili bagged ... I tired to be helpful .....

Anyway , we took turns ........

People came in , came out .

So , I was standing outside my Room 17 , trying to complete the stuffs .... Doctor Mark came out and asked to do suctioning .

I did .

Pok Geok came in , helped her to prepare the medications ... Nothing much .

Finally , shift ended .

Passed over Room 20 to Belle .

Room 17 to Loh .

They accepted my case .

Dragged myself home .

My legs were breaking .

So , Skyped , Face book message with him on my way home .

Room 14 today . Worked with Jennet . Nice . Nothing much , just serve and give the medications .

Talked to Sister , managed to get the format from her . From Sister Tay .

Passed over to Pok Geok . Contacted Brother , decided to ride home instead .

So , with my ICE Mountain Dew , I met Brother at downstairs . Decided to have western food at the old KFC place . Brother drove there .

Ordered Chicken chop , then I saw Hokkien Mee . Ordered that as well .

Went home with a full full tummy .  

Went back to the dreaded place ....

Room 18 . CVVHDF . It clotted between 4pm to 7pm , restarted at 8pm , but clotted at 9pm again . Roz was saying that I made it clot so that I don't have to carry and change the bag .

Passed over to Alison .

Jane and Ber came and talked to me , asked me if I'm aright .....

Sad , sad .

Heard that the SNM is on leave . Don't know if is it for this week or just today . Spoke to him , then he was angry , said that it would never be done ....

So , waited for Brother , Skyed with him .

We went to Jurong East and had Cheese prata and onion prata , all because I messaged Brother that my colleague was having prata for dinner .

We drank our Ribena .

Home sweet home .

Last day of my freedom .

I rode and parked at SGH . Headed down to QA employment . Submitted .

The weather was hot , I brought a cup of Each a Cup .

Went down to Raffles . Waited , met Wan Yee . She was nice . So I signed my 1 year away . Hopefully , it would be a wise decision .

I took the train to Jurong East and went to IMM's Mos Burger . Sat at the same seat , but without Him . Ordered Milk Tea .

Read finish my book and went back to Jurong East again . As I ordered the largest cup of Milk Tea , I did not finish it ... it seems so little when it's shared with Him .

Went to Jurong East Library's Book Cross . Got the books I wanted and took 198 home . Called Dad on the bus to ask him help me carry all the books .

I reached the bus stop earlier , waiting for Dad .... He came and we went home .   

We had lunch at Jurong Point Lai Lai . Free parking . Brother suggested going NUTC , but the time was running up . So , I drove home ... wanted to fetch Mum , but she was not around .

I went out to the 5 head market again , trying to search for swimming costume , but can't find any . So I went back home . We pump petrol and I drove to the Jurong East Swimming complex . It was closed !

We drove to Bukit Batok's Swimming complex and swam . Brother sent me home . I took that hand made pouch back home , wanted to bring back that white shoe as well , but Brother took it .

I tried to use the new laptop , but it crashed !!!!

Terrible !

I used Brother's another laptop and waited ... and waited ... and waited .

He finally called and he lased out on me .

Mum went inside Brother's room and passed him something . I suspected something and went to join in the fun . She tried to chase me away , but I had already saw the hand-made pouch .

I had my lunch inside my room .

Scanning ...

Was very mad . Yeah . Would you have care that I've injured my arms yesterday all thanks to you , stupid idiot . So do you volunteer to help me lift and carry patients who are easily twice or thrice my size ?

Yeah . I would congrats you when it's DOUBLE happiness . And , oh . Do remember to chop off the pig's tail , like what you always taught me when I was growing up .

Yeah . Helped Brother to clear his room , mop the floor . So , how much did he give you per month ?

So , I dressed up and went out to meet Sok Ee at Jurong Point . 6pm .

We walked , shopped a little and had dinner at Pizza Hut . $32.02 . Continued shopping and had some dessert recommend by her .

It was nice .

So ,  I went home ....

Almost finishing my scanning ....

We chatted ...... Yeah , chatted .

I only left 1 more clinical pathway when Brother went to sleep . And I followed suit .     

So , I was at home  scanning my nursing documents . Clearing my clothes as well . Missed calls on my phone  Brother called home instead . So , I am supposed to meet him ... either downstairs or at Bukit Batok . He agreed to let me ride , to SGH .

I was walking towards my bike when Steven Uncle and Aunt Sally came . I carried 10kg of rice , and a whole big plastic bag full of DVDs up home . Mum came down as well . Brother said that he's on his way , 10 to 15 minutes .

We waited and Brother never turn up . Mum FORCED me to carry another pail full of groceries , for the hungry ghost festival , and a whole bottle of cooking oil up home .

Brother finally came . So , decided that Uncle would send us to Orchard and we can take bus down to Suntec Comex .

Went searching for the best deal of , under $500 10 inch laptop .

Finally brought 1 . There was a headphone with speaker / mic .

HAPPY !

We both took bus ... towards Jurong . Brother left halfway near NUS to change bus to Bukit Batok . I went all the way to Jurong East interchange . Went to the usual place to wait for the shuttle bus to IMM . It never appear . I walked all the way to IMM , with my 2 bags of stuffs - New laptop and the free gifts .

Reached .

I went to search for USB for speaker and mic . The sales person at Challenger told to to try another shop next door . Cyber active . And I got what I wanted at $10.00 .

Had my Long John Silvers . Wasn't that nice this time round ....

And I took 502 straight home .
